DIALOG SESSION IN REGARDS TO THE DETERMINATION OF CLASS "A" CERTIFICATION FOR TOILET CLEANLINESS ON F&B PREMISES

PRIMAS President, Mr. J. Govindasamy @ Suresh and the Hon. Secretary, Mr. N. Shanmugam attend the Dialog Session in regards to the determination of Class 'A' Certification for toilet cleanliness on F&B premises for the business license renewal purposes organized by Kementerian Perumahan & Kerajaan Tempatan (KPTK) in Putrajaya.

This meeting was chaired by the Tuan Ar. Zuhair Bin Manaf, Timbalan Ketua Pengarah – Perundingan & Perundangan and said that KPTK Ministry has implemented a decree that all F&B premises must obtain Class "A" level certification for toilet cleanliness from January 2024.

Failure to do so, will cause rejection for the renewal of local council license and this session is to keep all F&B Associations notified on the new policy which is effective from January 2024 and made a decision in line with the principle:-

- “Bersih, Menawan, Wangi” (BMW);

- will have clear guidelines on what needs to be done; and

- to educate (mendidik) and practice (mengamalkan) the new policy.

KPTK needed the cooperation from all Stake Holders and Associations on this purpose.

KPTK also notified that before the renewal of the PBT licenses, the PBT Officials shall be conducting an inspection on the F&B premises’ toilets and immediately the Certificate will be issued to the respective F&B premise.

All the F&B Associations present, unanimously agreed but had also requested with KPTK to the followings:-

- To categorized it to Class “A” and “B” Certification; and

- A trial/probation period of 1 year (as implementation & awareness to members needs time)
