The Malaysian Indian Restaurant Owners Association stated that 7500 foreign workers are needed due to a severe shortage in the sector.
During a press conference held in Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian Indian Restaurant Owners association’s President Dato Suresh highlighted that the shortage is affecting restaurant operations nationwide. They have urged the government to expedite approval and support for bringing in foreign workers to sustain the industry’s operations.
